All the videos are prepared so you can decorate along with me. However, it doesn’t matter if you work at a slower pace than what you see in the videos. The important thing is to enjoy what you are doing.
When decorating this egg, you can stop at any stage, and consider it finished. Or, you can continue further, following your own imagination and creativity.

The foundation of this horizontal pattern is a central band bordered by a smooth line and delicate lace edging. Therefore, it is an advantage if you have already mastered the basics of decorating.I assume you aren't decorating just a single egg, so right from the start, you can create your own variations: try different widths for the central band and don't be afraid to change up the lace as well.(You can find tips for this in the "Linear Decorating" section of the Gingerbread Academy).Fill the area between the lines with thinned white icing (see the 'Icing' section) and let it dry thoroughly before further decorating.

The pattern for "white embroidery" is the ideal space for your imagination. It can complement the lace edging or, conversely, contrast with it. It can be subtle or bold. Don't be afraid to try multiple variations. However, choose decorative elements that you have already mastered, as potential mistakes are harder to correct on the white surface than on the gingerbread itself. You can finish decorating at this point or continue to develop it further.

If you decide on a Madeira pattern (eyelet embroidery style), you will again need thinned icing to coat the surface. You can achieve a different effect by using a transparent glaze (icing), which you apply with a fine brush. We explain this in detail in the chapter about Icing in the Gingerbread Academy.

The final touches should again be a reflection of your own creativity. Don't be afraid of it, and notice how even small details can change the character of the entire pattern.
Tip for you
Bake a sufficient number of medium and large gingerbread eggs so that you can try out as many possibilities and variations as possible. You can replace the white filled area with transparent glaze in the central band of the pattern as well.
Try rotating the pattern: decorate it on the egg vertically or diagonally.
